Hove in Monochrome & gold
This view of Brighton & Hove seafront was inspired by a picture. I tried it using colour and didn’t like it so I went for monochrome and gold. It is obviously my interpretation of the view.

Handsome Cockerel
I had this picture of The Cockerel for ages and wasn’t sure if it was what I wanted to paint. I decided to try using a little art knife and go for a very textured painting and thought he was just the right subject for this technique. Such fun to do and I love him. So handsome.

Bursting into life
These were inspired by an artist on YouTube who offered tutorials on her style.
I have been amazed at the generosity of artists and how willing they are to share their techniques,ideas and art knowledge. I loved painting these and every time I see them I remember the joy of sharing.

Movement
This abstract was inspired by an artist I was following on social media. She was so enthusiastic about pouring and moving and flicking the paint about with different tools I just had to have a go. The finished effect was so free that I decided to call it Movement.

Dance and be free
During lock down I was playing around with charcoal and chalks, with some online images of dancers and this materialised. I remember feeling a real flow that day and I love the freedom and movement that transpired onto the paper.
